Welcome to the wiki for a collaboration between author Dorothy Hinshaw Patent and two schools in District 1 Public Schools in Missoula, Montana. The project is being conducted by videoconference using Dorothy's award-winning nonfiction book, "When the Wolves Returned: Restoring Nature's Balance in Yellowstone."
Dorothy and the two teachers, Natalie Griffin of Lewis & Clark School, and Bridgette Hoenke of Franklin School. Dorothy and the teachers will collaborate in deciding how Dorothy's book can be most useful in the teachers' classrooms to accomplish the specific goals of the teachers, and Dorothy will interact directly with the students through videoconferencing. Each of the three of us has her own page on this wiki to discuss the project. As we proceed, we may create other pages for projects, discussion, or other purposes.
Follow us as we explore the possibilities for using this book to empower the love of learning in the students!
